So, if you would love to take your chances on boiling, and verify if the claims of it restoring your wigs shine and smoothness are true, then go on to read the steps and process below.

The Steps And Process Of Boiling Wigs

For this boiling process, you will primarily be needing a deep conditioner that's crème based (we recommend that you use silicon mix. It's a deep conditioner that's affordable. It goes for just $5.99 and it's great for handling hair emergencies), a sizable pot that will comfortable contain your wig or wigs, some steaming hot water and a towel. Going on, you should know that silicon mix has a really strong smell, so after using it to boil you hair, you should consider masking the traces of the smell, by using a little of your best and nicely perfumed conditioner on the wig before you step out. That said, let's go on with the procedure.

Step 1:
To start off, you should grab a pot that will comfortably accommodate your wig(s). Now, fill it half-way with water.

Step 2:
Next up, light your burner and regulate the flames to be on the highest. You should then go on to place your pot on the burner.

Step 3:
Let the water boil till you start seeing hot water bubbles and steams. When it's boiled, turn off your burner.

Step 4:
Grab your silicon mix. Scoop three spoons of the product, and deposit them in your hot water. With that done, stir the mixture until it completely dissolves. Your water should then look milky white.

Step 5:
At this point, you should get your wig and slowly place it into the water piece, by piece. If your frontal has gone through a lot of shedding, then you should place it in last. Ensure that every strand of hair gets well into the water so that the entire hair will be revived. We should however warn you that some of the color of your wig would likely run into the water. So, you might need to dye it once you’re done with the boiling process.

Step 6:
You should let your wig stay in the water for fifteen to twenty minutes. After the first five minutes, you should return to your pot and use a spoon or stick to turn your wig. This is to ensure that every part of the wig gets well into the water. You can also decide to cover the pot, so that the steam would stay locked in and penetrate every fiber of your hair.

Step 7:
After the times up, remove your wig and carefully wash it with water and shampoo. Make sure that you get all traces of the silicon mix completely rinsed out. We advise you to use shampoo because, using only water would likely leave traces of silicon mix in your hair, thereby making your hair a little stiff.

Step 8:
After washing your wig, go on and use a towel to get some of its wetness out. Then, place it in a place that it can air dry. We advise that you should not blow dry or sun dry it because it has already been through quite a lot.

Step 9:
When it's dry, you can then go on to feel the miracle of some heat and a deep conditioner on wigs. Run your hands through your wig. It will most likely feel like the softest and most smooth wig you have ever owned. There will be no tangles, it will have an impressive shine and you can style it however you please.

So, that is it ladies. Understand that in the same way our real hair does not give up like that, wigs, especially human hair wigs, don't just die like that. We wash, deep condition and moisturize our hair just to untangle it and give it its shine. In a similar way, old wigs can be revived to look like you just purchased them. The revival can be done through boiling. The boiling benefits cuts across the fact that it saves you the cash that you would have otherwise used to buy a new wig, and the process is almost completely natural. No harmful or damaging chemicals are used. What's more, you can style your hair however you please, because you no longer have to deal with tangles or knots.
